Flag of Angola

Two horizontal bands of red (top) and black (bottom) with a yellow emblem in the centre — half a cogwheel crossed by a machete with a star above. Red for the blood spilled in the liberation war; black for Africa; yellow for the country's mineral wealth. The cogwheel represents industrial workers, the machete represents peasants, and the star represents progress. Adopted on November 11, 1975 — Angolan independence day. Modelled on the flag of the MPLA liberation movement. Practise the Angola flag in the Flagzio Africa flag quiz across all eight game modes.
