Flag of Argentina

Three horizontal bands of light blue, white and light blue, with the golden Sun of May centred on the white band. The light blue and white were the colours worn by the patriots during the May Revolution of 1810. The Sun of May represents Inti, the Incan sun god, and the new dawn of independence. Created by Manuel Belgrano in 1812 and made official in 1818. Frequently confused with the flags of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras — all Central American countries that use similar blue-white-blue horizontal stripes. Practise the Argentina flag in the Flagzio Americas flag quiz across all eight game modes.
