Flag of Brazil

A green field with a yellow rhombus, inside which is a blue celestial globe with 27 white stars and a white equatorial band bearing the motto 'Ordem e Progresso' — Order and Progress. Green for forests, yellow for mineral wealth. The 27 stars represent the 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District. Their position on the globe shows the sky over Rio de Janeiro on the morning of November 15, 1889 — the day the Republic was proclaimed. First adopted in 1889 with 21 stars, updated several times as new states were created. The current 27-star version dates from 1992. Practise the Brazil flag in the Flagzio Americas flag quiz across all eight game modes.
