Two horizontal bands of red over green with a vertical red-on-white ornamental band at the hoist. Red for past struggles; green for forests and fields; the hoist pattern is a traditional Belarusian embroidery design. Restored in 1995 (a slightly modified version of the Soviet-era Byelorussian SSR flag without hammer-and-sickle) and re-codified in 2012.
