Flag of Cyprus

White field with a copper-coloured silhouette map of Cyprus above two crossed green olive branches. Copper colour because Cyprus historically produced copper (and lent its name to the metal). The olive branches represent peace between Greek and Turkish Cypriots. Adopted on August 16, 1960 — independence day. One of the few national flags that depicts the country's own outline. Practise the Cyprus flag in the Flagzio Europe flag quiz across all eight game modes.
