Flag of Ethiopia

Three equal horizontal bands of green, yellow and red, with the National Emblem — a yellow star with rays on a blue disc — in the centre. The green-yellow-red colour scheme is the original Pan-African palette, adopted by Ethiopia in 1897. The star represents diversity and unity of Ethiopia's nations and nationalities. Ethiopia's tricolour inspired the Pan-African colour scheme adopted by independence movements across the continent. The plain tricolour without the emblem was the flag from 1897 to 1996. Practise the Ethiopia flag in the Flagzio Africa flag quiz across all eight game modes.
