Sky blue field with a yellow sun above a soaring yellow steppe eagle, with a vertical ornamental band at the hoist. Sky blue represents Tengri, the eternal sky in Turkic tradition. The sun represents life and energy. The eagle represents power and freedom. The hoist pattern is a traditional Kazakh national ornament.
