Flag of Lithuania

Three equal horizontal bands of yellow, green and red. Yellow for the sun, prosperity and golden fields; green for the country's forests, hope and nature; red for the blood and courage of those who fought for Lithuania. First adopted in 1918 after independence; restored on March 20, 1989 ahead of full independence from the Soviet Union in 1990.
