Flag of Malta

Two equal vertical bands of white (hoist) and red (fly) with a representation of the George Cross — edged in red — in the upper-hoist corner. White and red have been Maltese colours since at least 1090. The George Cross was awarded to the people of Malta by King George VI in 1942 for the island's heroism during WWII. Adopted on September 21, 1964 — Malta's independence day. Practise the Malta flag in the Flagzio Europe flag quiz across all eight game modes.
