Three horizontal bands of green, black and yellow separated by thin white fimbriations, with a red triangle at the hoist containing a yellow star, an open book, a hoe and an AK-47. Green for the land; white for peace; black for the African continent; yellow for the country's mineral wealth; red for the struggle for independence.
