Flag of Oman

Three horizontal bands of white, red and green, with a vertical red band on the hoist containing the national emblem — crossed swords with a khanjar dagger in white. White for peace; red has been Omani for centuries; green for the fertile Jebel Akhdar mountains. The national emblem is one of the world's oldest, dating from the 18th century. Adopted in 1970 with significant updates in 1995. Before 1970, Oman's flag was plain red. Practise the Oman flag in the Flagzio Asia flag quiz across all eight game modes.
