Flag of Poland

Two equal horizontal bands of white over red. White represents the white eagle of the Polish coat of arms; red represents the field on which the eagle stands. The colour combination has been used as a Polish symbol since the late medieval period. The current flag was officially adopted in 1919 after Poland regained independence. The colours have been associated with Polish identity for over six centuries. Frequently confused with Indonesia and Monaco, which use red over white. Practise the Poland flag in the Flagzio Europe flag quiz across all eight game modes.
