Three equal vertical bands of blue, yellow and red. Blue represents the sky and freedom; yellow represents the country's mineral wealth and golden fields; red represents the blood spilled for independence. Restored in 1989 after the fall of communism — the communist coat of arms was removed. The colours date to 1834. Famously confused with Chad (only blue shade differs). Practise the Romania flag in the Flagzio Europe flag quiz across all eight game modes.
