Flag of Sweden

A yellow Nordic cross — vertical bar offset toward the hoist — on a blue field. The colours are taken from the small national coat of arms. The Nordic cross design is shared by Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Åland. Sweden's flag is one of the oldest national flags in continuous use, with the basic design dating to the 16th century. The modern dimensions were codified in 1906.
