Flag of South Africa

A green Y-shape, bordered in white and yellow, with red above and blue below, and a black triangle at the hoist — the most colourful national flag in the world. The Y or 'pall' shape symbolises the convergence of diverse elements of South African society into a unified path. The colours combine elements of the historical flags of the Boer republics, the African National Congress and Black liberation movements. Adopted on April 27, 1994, the day of South Africa's first democratic, all-race elections. Designed by State Herald Frederick Brownell as a deliberate visual break from the apartheid past. Practise the South Africa flag in the Flagzio Africa flag quiz across all eight game modes.
